Is Orthogeriatrics a new speciality?!

Recently embarked on some interesting work experience to spend a lot of time with some Orthogeriatric specialists. They briefly explained to me their holistic approach in the elderly person. For example, on top of treating a fractured hip bone, what caused that fall?

Can anyone shed some more light on this interesting speciality for me?
